The operating expense is assumed to be proportional to car kilometers. Thus, the unit requirement of the operating expense is created so that the future operating expense is calculated based on the car kilometers in additional operation services by the New Sprinter.
1/ Creating the unit requirement
As is shown in table 5.5-6, based on from the entire performance of the past SRT to the newest data for 1994, the unit requirement of the operating expense is created.

2/ Calculating the operating expense (portion of the operating expenses derived from the additional operating services by the New Sprinter)
The operating service sections of the New Sprinter are between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and between Bangkok and Phitsanulok. So, the car kilometers by different operation sections for additional operation service are calculated to calculate the operating expense based on the unit requirement.
